What is Pedophobia? Well if the sight of the child in the above picture causes you to shudder in fear, then you probably have Pedophobia.
From an etymological perspective regarding the words ‘Paedo’ and ‘Pedo’, what do these words denote? They represent babies, children, and young children, and the word phobia means fear. Pedophobia, what is the root cause of this strange condition? It is certainly not natural for people to be harboring a fear of harmless little children. It is certainly highly unlikely that these children whom many of these adults are fearful of pose any significant physical threat. There are children with Pedophobic tendencies but it is far more common in adults. Anxiety Disorders such as Pedophobia usually take time and exposure to social programming in order to becoming embedded in a person’s mind, therefore the prominence rate is more prevalent in adults than it is in children.
